Cordage-Making Workshop
A half-day workshop learning to make cordage (string) using a variety of repurposed and natural materials.
Learn to make your own 2-ply cordage using old fabrics, papers and packaging as well as plant materials.
Materials and equipment will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own selection of materials to use if you’d like. It will be a small group of 8 students maximum.
Refreshments will be provided.

Small Twined Basket Workshop
A one-day workshop learning twined basketry skills and making a small hand-held basket using soft materials such as string, yarn and naturally dyed raffia.
We’ll be looking at techniques for beginners such as creating a base, adding new weavers, and using colour to create stripes and pattern.
Materials and equipment will be provided, but please feel free to bring your own selection of strings and yarns to use if you’d like. It will be a small group of 8 students maximum.
Tea, coffee and cake are included, but please bring your own lunch.
